Zeppelin evenings 41

Special guest: architect Petr Lešek (Prague) – www.projektil.cz

June 20, 18:30 – Aula Magna, Central University Library “Carol I”

Libraries, public markets, cultural centers, galleries and museums: they are probably the most desirable projects in an architectural office portfolio. Not only that ensure recognition and publicity value, but because, beyond profit, aesthetic or record, the stakes are political and social transformation.

In transitional societies, restoring public spaces and buildings is especially important for signaling, equally, where long-awaited prosperity and democracy emerges, in which exchange occurs generations are born and most powerful ideals and visions for a better world. Projektil projects for public spaces are aesthetic and ideological commitments copies, giving cities the new symbols of modernity happens. Romanian artist Dan Perjovschi, known for socio-political commitment of his work, collaborated with Projektil on the Technical Library in Prague, another proof that the Czech public architecture is a remarkable pattern.

Smart home: Ikedoo

Ikedoo Institute is a non-profit organizations whose projects are designed to complement (and alternative) to conventional pedagogy.

The teaching process is based on construction. The building is an essential human act. It is not just about understanding and create (own) space, to intervene in the environment, but also to explore, to experiment, to learn to synthesize, to make good choices, to discuss and negotiate. House, the dream of every child, becomes teaching tool for creation, dialogue and cooperation, and for the acquisition of intuitive notions.
