Zeppelin evenings #38 presents three members of the first line of the younger generation of Japanese architects:
- Masahiro Harada worked in offices of international stars as Kengo Kuma and Show Isozaki – Tokyo, Jose Antonio Martinez Lapena & Elias Torres – Barcelona. The winner of Leaf Awards 2010, Modern Decoration International Media Prize 2010 (China), mentioned at The AR Awards for Emerging Architecture 2008 and 2011, Architectural Design 2009 Vanguard Records.
- Ryuichi Ashizawa founded his own office in 2001, after working in the studio of Tado Ando. He received numerous awards including “2009 Architect of the Year” award by the Japanese Institute of Architects and Design for Asia Award 2010 DFA Silver Award, Hong Kong.
- Yoshihide Kobanawa founded in 2008, together with Kaoro Fujii, KOBFUJII office. Previously, both partners worked on the famous Spanish office RCR Aranda Pigem Vilalta Arquitectes. He curated, among other things, exhibitions dedicated to Japanese architecture Lisbon and Bucharest (Bucharest Architecture Biennial in 2006, organized by the current Zeppelin team).
