Swiss Cultural Center – big game

Post de: Irina Suteu

The trio Gregoire Jeanmonod, Elric Petit, and Augustin Scott de Martinville, present the Plus is more collection. Six objects designed respecting the good Swiss rigour  however interpreting it in an even playful way like in the case of the wool rug “Miles”. Starting from a children game, the carpet is a blown up version of the traces left by a toy truck.

In a way following the same principle but in a three dimensional version, the “Bold” chair is made by twisting a metal tube, which than receives the polyurethane upholstery and finally a sock like cover in polyamide.
Probably the most poetic and simple object in the collection is the solid oak timber Coat Rack, which can very well be kept in the house as a sculpture. The rack could very well host the Swiss Apparel sweatshirt bearing a couple of phrases in all the languages spoken in Switzerland. It doesn’t get more Swiss than that!
For workout addicts a series of Stone Dumbbells carved in absolute black granite, could become a stylish alternative to the traditional weights. On the light side the Link chandelier features a simple lacquered aluminum module that can be multiplied, reduced or configured according to one’s desire.
