Graphic Front invites you to submit your entries for ROAR POWER POSTER @ Bucharest Graphic Days 2024. The theme of this edition is: POWER
This year’s call for entries is now open to the entire spectrum of ideas and concepts relating to power. The theme of power, though inspired by the unprecedented number of national election campaigns in 2024, is not limited to the political connotations of the word. Each of us has a deeply intimate understanding of the concept of power, which can be translated visually into various forms, regardless of the area it relates to, be that personal, economic, military, cultural or social.
A selection of this year’s submissions will be made according to the usual criteria: concept, originality, composition and use of colour. And because by its very nature the Roar Poster exhibition seeks to address enraging, real-life problems (acute issues that shouldn’t be put off any longer), entries with easily recognisable, figurative content with a clear message and a powerful visual and emotional impact will be looked on favourably /// Including the word “Power” itself in your design is not obligatory. /// Works created specially for this call will stand a better chance of being selected.
The organisers reserve the exclusive right to select the works, and the jury’s decision cannot be contested. The works must be original and applicants must hold the copyright for them. By submitting your entry, you agree that the organiser may exhibit, promote, print and distribute the selected works by any means. No participation fees are charged and artists are not paid for their poster designs. On request, participation certificates can be issued.
The exhibition will take place in the Rotonda Hall of the National Theatre Bucharest – an impressive space located at Bucharest’s Km 0, with direct access to public transport (bus and metro), part of the city’s exhibition circuit.
ROAR Posters was launched in 2018 and is a project of Graphic Front, Bucharest.
