Romania Green Building Council presents new courses within the “Green Building Professional” Certification & Training program: “Lighting Design & Smart Building” and “Building Envelopes of Green Buildings”

In February, we present you the following courses:
- 21st of February 2013 – Lighting Design & Smart Building
A full day course, held by Dorin Beu, explaining the principles of lighting design and the integration with Building Management Systems to create high-performance green buildings. Dr. Beu holds a doctorate degree in Building Engineering from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca and worked on various European research projects concerning daylighting, lighting pipes and glazing systems. He was also chairman of the Romanian Lighting Convention Bucharest 2011 and is Director of the ‘Division 3 Interior Lighting’ from Romania National Lighting Committee.

- 22nd of February 2013 – Building Envelopes of Green Buildings
A full day course held by international trainer Aurore Julien, explaining the principles of building envelopes for green buildings. Mrs. Julien is a Lecturer at the University College of London and a freelance consultant for XRG Limited. She is also a LEED Accredited Professional and BREEAM assessor and has expertise in environmental design, building physics, natural ventilation, daylight and renewable energy systems.

The “Green Building Professional” program requires ten courses out of which eight are required and two can be chosen from a selection of courses by the professional. The program is designed specifically to ensure cross-training between different disciplines as more efficient collaboration is a critical factor in delivering successful green building projects. The courses will include both theory and practice from experts active domestically and internationally. The achieved certification is recognized within the World Green Building Council network.
