Parametrica [Digi Fab School] from Bucharest, Romania, invites you to DYNAMIC FIELDS Workshop and Conference (16-29 July 2013<\/strong>) to participate in the digital design build project, seeking to create an inventive collaborative environment. The workshop is part of a series of PARAMETRICA events, promoting computational design thinking and exploring the new possibilities of parametric design.<\/p>\n

The workshop is aimed at: students, postgraduates, architects, interior, product and urban designers, engineers, anybody interested.

During this day we will present the final workshop projects and our special guest, Patrik Schumacher<\/strong> [Director, Zaha Hadid Architects, London \/ Dr Phil, Dip Ing, ARB, RIBA \/  Founder AA Design Reseach Lab London] will exploit the subject of computational design thinking and parametric architecture.<\/p>\n

TOPIC: “Parametric Semiology – Architecture as Interface of Communication<\/strong>“<\/p>\n

Patrik Schumacher argues that architecture is a system of communication, specifically engaged with framing communicative interaction. He describes organization as the most basic function of architecture.<\/p>\n

He considers the phenomenological aspect of architecture in terms of a user’s perceptual comprehension of a space, and frames the semiological aspect of architecture in terms of spaces that communicate to social actors.<\/p>\n

Patrik Schumacher concludes by arguing that advances in crowd and multi-agent modeling techniques provide designers with a powerful new tool for shaping how users interact with environments.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
