The building is located on a dead end street in the northwestern part of the old city center. The distinctive urban fabric, with various shapes of plots, heigths and stylesis suffers a strong speculative pressure, and most of the recent buildings are highly dissonant in scale and image.<\/p>\n

[update] A film by Andrei Mărgulescu: “I love that, somehow, this new building in central Bucharest’s tissue and the inflection of the street with all that it implies make up a small world together.”<\/strong> <\/p>\n

<\/iframe><\/p>\n <\/p>\nThe plot is an irregular concave polygon, with a single small blind wall. Like its predecessors—the fairly large interwar modernist apartment buildings that squeezed in between villas and 19th century houses—this newest operation achieves higher density, while adapting to the fabric and keeping the historic scale and openness of the area.<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/e-zeppelin.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/01_A_cosmindragomir_ADNBA-AAF_XL05.jpg\" data-lightbox=\"https:\/\/e-zeppelin.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/01_A_cosmindragomir_ADNBA-AAF_XL05-1024x731.jpg\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-15450 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/e-zeppelin.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/01_A_cosmindragomir_ADNBA-AAF_XL05-1024x731.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"731\"><\/a><\/p>\nThe concave corner of the street and several recesses define a sort of an open fan made of successive levels that come closer or further to and from the neighbors and the alignment.<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/e-zeppelin.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/02_A_cosmindragomir_ADNBA-AAF_XL30.jpg\" data-lightbox=\"https:\/\/e-zeppelin.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/02_A_cosmindragomir_ADNBA-AAF_XL30-731x1024.jpg\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-15451 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/e-zeppelin.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/02_A_cosmindragomir_ADNBA-AAF_XL30-731x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"731\" height=\"1024\"><\/a><\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/e-zeppelin.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/05_B_cosmindragomir_ADNBA-AAF_XL26.jpg\" data-lightbox=\"https:\/\/e-zeppelin.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/05_B_cosmindragomir_ADNBA-AAF_XL26-1024x957.jpg\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-15452 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/e-zeppelin.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/05_B_cosmindragomir_ADNBA-AAF_XL26-1024x957.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"957\"><\/a><\/p>\nThe stairs, access corridors, hallways, and corner loggias absorb or at least soften the irregularities of the plot.
